Lyxor and Off-Zich launch opportunistic L/S US equity fund

Lyxor Asset Management and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group have announced the launch of the Lyxor / OZ US Equity Opportunities Fund.

Lyxor pursues the diversification of its Alternative Ucits offering with Och-Ziff becoming the eighth alternative manager on Lyxor’s platform.

The fund focuses on long and short investment opportunities in the US equity market, with the aim of producing positive, absolute returns with low volatility. The investment strategy employs an opportunistic approach that fuses deeply-researched, proprietary, long-term fundamental views with process-oriented expertise in corporate actions/events.

It seeks to take advantage of mis-pricings in situations involving various types of corporate actions, including mergers, spin-offs, management changes and recapitalisations.

Established in 1994, Och-Ziff is an institutional alternative manager with $44.4bn (€41.8bn) of assets under management and has expertise in fundamental investing, eventdriven situations and merger arbitrage. The company has a team of 23 US equity investment professionals.

The Lyxor / OZ US Equity Opportunities Fund, passported into 10 countries, is available on Lyxor’s Alternative Ucits platform for a minimum subscription amount of $10,000 (€9,430). Lyxor specifies that not all share classes are available or registered for sale in all jurisdictions.
