Miton, the London Aim market listed independent manager, has announced name changes to its Special Situations and Strategic funds.

The CF Miton Strategic Portfolio will become the CF Miton Defensive Multi Asset Fund, and the CF Miton Special Situations Portfolio will become the CF Miton Cautious Multi Asset Fund.

The Strategic Fund name also comes with an adjusted investment objective. Henceforth the fund will have more flexibility to invest directly in securities rather than mostly in other authorised funds. Miton said this “should enable execution to be achieved at lower cost”. The change is scheduled to take place 23 March.

The name change for the Strategic Portfolio will also happen on the same date.

Miton added that it is also reviewing the UK Investment Association sectors that the funds sit in.
