RBC GAM appoints institutional portfolio manager
RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), the asset management arm of Royal Bank of Canada, has announced the appointment of Nicole Vettise as Institutional Portfolio Manager within the London-based business development team.
Vettise will be a capability specialist for RBC GAM’s Emerging Market Equities team, as well as RBC GAM’s London-based expert for Global Natural Resources.
She joins RBC GAM with over 20 years’ financial industry experience, most recently at JP Morgan Asset Management where for the past 10 years she was Executive Director and the lead Client Portfolio Manager for the company’s Natural Resources strategies and Global Thematic equity funds.
Prior to this, she held roles at Credit Suisse Private Banking, Fleming Asset Management and Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong, Luxembourg and London.
“Nicole builds on the strength of our existing team and shares our commitment to world-class client service,” said Clive Brown, Managing Director and CEO, RBC GAM UK. “The growth of our distribution platform adds to our capabilities in providing institutional investors in the European, Middle East and African markets, as well as the Asia Pacific region, with tailored investment solutions and exceptional service.”
Today’s announcement is the latest in a series of new hires to RBC GAM’s London-based team over the past year as part of an ongoing growth strategy. This began with the addition of a 10-person Global Equity team in January 2014, and includes, more recently, the appointment of three new members to RBC GAM’s London-based EMEA business development team.
