Schroders hires head of Global Sales

London-headquartered asset manager Schroders has appointed Daniel Imhof to the newly-created role of head of Global Sales.

Imhof will be responsible for the firm’s global sales structure. He will also focus on the development of the skills of Schroders’ sales teams.

He will be based in London and report to John Troiano, global head of Distribution.

Imhof has 25 years’ experience at UBS Wealth Management, most recently as global head of Portfolio Specialists, where he was responsible for the distribution of investment solutions and funds across client segments globally.

Troiano commented: “Our clients’ needs are changing significantly. The creation of this new role reflects our broadening product suite and the requirement for our sales people to possess specialist knowledge across all asset classes. Daniel brings with him a wealth of experience and we look forward to welcoming someone of his calibre to the company.”

Schroders managed €486.7bn of assets as of 31 March 2017.
