Schroders makes two multi-asset hires
Schroders has made two new appointments within its Multi-asset Investments and Portfolio Solutions (MAPS) business.
Mike Kleyn joins Schroders to work in the Advanced Beta team.
Kleyn previously worked at Diamond Lightsource Synchrotron as a scientific software developer and has 15 years of experience in developing and researching systematic fixed income strategies at ABN Amro and BlackRock.
Duncan Shand (pictured) will also join the Advanced Beta team on a permanent basis.
Shand joined Schroders as a Senior Adviser on a consultancy basis in September 2014 from Warwick Business School where he was a Professor of Practice. Prior to joining Schroders he spent 14 years at BlackRock holding senior roles in the Global Markets Strategies Group.
Both Kleyn and Shand will focus on expanding Advanced Beta capabilities across asset classes.
Peter Weidner, head of Advanced Beta, Schroders Multi-asset Investments and Portfolio Solutions (MAPS) commented: “Our advanced beta initiative is key to the design and implementation of our Multi-asset solutions. We are pleased that Duncan and Mike have joined us to expand our advanced beta capabilities across the asset classes invested within MAPS.”
