Schroders names global WM head

Schroders has hired former Tilney boss Peter Hall to lead its wealth management business globally.

His appointment at Schroders is subject to regulatory approval and scheduled to take place on January 2, 2019.

Hall will be succeeding Andrew Ross, who moves to a new advisory role and was chief executive at Cazenove Capital before joining Schroders in 2013.

Peter Hall stepped down from Tilney in October last year after seven years of service. He joined then Tilney’s parent firm Permira, where he worked as a financial adviser.

The wealth management arm of Schroders accounts for 13% of the company’s total assets under management, which stood at £447bn last year. Profit before tax at the wealth management arm accounted for £67.4m, just under 9% of total profits before tax at the group.
