Schroders has announced the appointment of Matt Hudson (pictured) to manage the Schroder UK Opportunties Fund and Luxembourg-domiciled Schroder ISF2 UK Opportunties fund with immediate effect.

Hudson replaces Julie Dean, who joined the firm last year when Schroders bought out  Cazenove Capital Management. The Schroder UK growth fund will now be managed on a team basis by the remaining members of the former Cazenove Capital Management team.

According to the board of the Schroder UK Growth Fund plc, the Business Cycle Investment team will continue to manage the Company’s portfolio in accordance with its current investment policy and objective for the immediate future.

Robin Stoakley, head of UK intermediary comments on the reshuffle: “Schroders has an enviable track record of delivering for clients, across a breadth of products in UK equities to meet most investment needs.  The business cycle approach is a key investment strategy for us which is why we have appointed Matt Hudson, whose track record is excellent, to manage these funds.”
