Scipion Capital appoints advisory council

Scipion Capital, the international commodity trade finance investment manager has announced the appointment of a new Advisory Council, to be chaired  by Desmond de Silva.

De Silva, who was knighted in 2007, is an international lawyer and Queen’s Council, who was previously chief prosecutor of the War Crimes Tribunal in Sierra Leone. As chair he will direct the Advisory Council’s work supporting Scipion’s business strategy and ongoing moves into the international institutional investment market.

Also joining de Silva on the Council will be private equity investor Michael Naylor, and communications firm co-founder Eoin Brophy. The Council will meet Scipion executives three times per year.
