SEB London appoints new head of Prime Brokerage
Peter Herrlin is the new head of Swedish bank SEB’s Prime Brokerage division in London, succeeding Atilla Olesen who has transferred to Denmark to take up a position as head of Enskilda Equities with SEB.
Herrlin joined SEB Prime Brokerage in 2010, working with UK and European Hedge Fund Sales, Securities Finance and SEB Prime Solutions – SEB’s Ucits platform, which launched in late 2010 and currently counts seven funds.
SEB uses a custody based model with fully segregated client assets and no rehypothecation. The bank said it proved popular with investors seeking to limit their counterparty exposure in the European banking industry. The brokerage overall offers trading, finance, settlement, asset raising, structured solutions, clearing and custody services to the hedge fund industry.
