SIG European Best Ideas fund adds BlackRock’s Plackett

Lee Freeman Shore, manager of the €340m Skandia Investment Group European Best Ideas fund has put 10% or €34m toward a mandate run by Richard Plackett of BlackRock.

Plackett (pictured) already manages three ten-stock UK equity mandates for Shor, who noted that the managers delivered a return of 133% over five and a half years, well above the FTSE UK All Share Index return of 33%.

The European Best Ideas fund is up about 5.6% since launch in 2008.

The largest of all UK based SIG’s manager of manager mandates currently is about £135m, according to figures from the provider.
