Talisman FO opens to external investors
Talisman Global Asset Management, the London-based investment management arm of the Pears family, is to offer its investment skills to external professional investors, including family offices, endowments and foundations.
Talisman was established in 1994 and in its current form in 2001 and today manages £1.6bn on behalf of its core client. The investment team is led by chief investment officer Julian Sinclair, and new investors will be aligned with the existing client.
Talisman’s global multi-asset investment style has generated an annual compound growth rate of 9.7% over the last 10 years. The firm’s investment style and process focuses on capital preservation and achieving superior absolute returns with low volatility and low correlations to both equity and fixed markets. It takes a long term, global approach to investing, using an investment universe that encompasses fixed income, equities, FX, commodities and hedge funds.
Since 2001 the firm has recruited an institutional class investment team led by Sinclair, who manages a team of nine analysts and investment professionals.
Sinclair said: “We believe that our offering is special – a strong 10-year track record in true global multi-asset investing, an experienced team backed by a respected British family of recognised commercial success. We are excited about this next stage in our firm’s development.”
