Threadneedle appoints UK Small Cap manager

Matthew Evans has been appointed to the role of UK Small Cap fund manager, starting in early October at Threadneedle Investments.

Evans previously managed smaller companies at UK manager Legal & General Investment Management.

At Threadneedle he will work with James Thorne, UK Small Cap fund manager, and report to Simon Brazier, head of UK Equities.

Threadneedle manages some €1.69bn in small and mid-cap equities, out of a total of €19bn in UK equities.
