Woodford IM builds out compliance team

Woodford Investment Management has announced the expansion of  its compliance and operations team, including the appointment of Simon Osborne as head of Compliance and Gavin St. John-Heath as chief risk and operations officer.

Osborne joins from Los Angeles-based Nuveen Investments where he worked since 2010, as senior vice president. Prior to this, Simon gained eight years’ experience managing teams in compliance divisions at PIMCO, in London and at its Newport Beach headquarters.

St. John-Heath join from BlueQuant Capital Management, he has more than eight years’ experience having held several senior risk management and compliance roles across various market sectors, including Petronas Energy Trading.

Woodford Investment Management has also hired David Brailsford, who joins as data architecture delivery manager from IBM and Vimal Patel, business analyst, who joins from Abu-Dhabi-based sovereign wealth manager Mubadala Development Company, where he was head of investment systems.
