Zurich Chile appoints funds unit general manager
Grupo Zurich Chile has appointed Emmy Moreno as general manager of its funds unit.
Moreno will be responsible of Zurich Chile funds’ offer, comprised by own funds and strategies from Allfunds platform, through which the department will be able to distribute 38,000 funds belonging to more than 450 international asset managers.
Moreno joined Zurich’s group in 2003 and has been in charges of areas such as investment analysis or corporate strategy.
Since 1991, Zurich has been present in Chile since 1991, after acquiring Chilena Consolidada, the oldest insurance company in Chile and Latin America. The insurance firm was founded in Valparaiso in 1853, and today is one of the largest companies in the Chilean insurance market with more than 2 million people insured and a premium of $1bn.
