Amundi appoints smart beta chief

Amundi has appointed Bruno Taillardat (pictured) as head of Smart Beta.

Based in Paris, he will report to Laurent Trottier, Amundi global head of ETF, Indexing and Smart Beta Management.

Taillardat joined from Unigestion he joined in 2007 as a senior portfolio manager in the equity team. He was most recently investment director responsible for the quantitative and fundamental research.

Taillardat began his career at BNP Paribas Asset Management where he was head of Quantitative Research in the international equity investments team from 1998 to 2007.

Amundi had $9bn (€8.06bn) of assets under management in smart beta strategies as of June 2016.
