BoE presents August inflation outlook

Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of England (BoE) comments on the inflation outlook for the UK as of August.

He describes private and domestic spending as robust, with consumer confidence at high levels, however, low levels of CPI inflation remains a factor of concern.

Nevertheless, he argues that there is “little evidence of any deflationary mindset among businesses and households.”
