Riding populist wave, Trump sets sights on Fed and taxes

Donald Trump will launch his presidency by tackling some of the biggest issues facing the voters who elected him, says Steve Malin, senior investment strategist. He will likely fill six new Fed vacancies with governors who favor fewer banking regulations, and he’ll focus on significant tax reforms – which should lead to a stronger US dollar and higher interest rates.
