Caspar Berry confirmed as keynote for Hamburg Summit
UK entrepreneur and professional poker player Caspar Berry will deliver the keynote at this year’s Investment Europe Pan European Fund Selector Summit held in Hamburg on 7-9 October.
Berry will discuss the need to embrace uncertainty and take calculated risk in order to get the edge and achieve success.
Berry started his career as the lead in one of BBC1’s flagship television programs of the 1990s before going on to read Economics and Anthropology at Cambridge. At university, Caspar was a prolific theatre director where he worked with a wealth of talent in The Footlights, and after setting his sights on becoming a professional film writer he had his first screenplay produced by Film Four whilst still in his final year.
At the age of 25, Berry moved to Las Vegas in order to become a professional poker player. He played poker professionally for more than three years of his life during which time he made a good living pitting his wits against the game’s best known players.
