Ewout van Schaick of NN IP to speak at Madrid Forum

Ewout van Schaick, head of Multi-Asset Strategies at NN Investment Partners, will be discussing multi-strategy approaches when he presents at the InvestmentEurope Fund Selector Forum Spain, taking place in Madrid on 8 September.

The need to adopt more flexible approaches is required to deal with an environment of lower economic growth, fragile markets and low yields. Opportunities exist, but investors are wary of downside risk. In practical terms, this means considering tactical overlays to deal with the impact of fundamental and behavioural factors.

Van Schaick heads the Multi Asset Strategies team within the Multi Asset investment boutique of NN Investment Partners. He is lead portfolio manager for a number of investment funds, including the First Class Multi Asset Fund.

Prior to joining NN IP in 2007, Ewout worked as portfolio manager at PGGM, the second largest pension fund in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of external alpha strategies. Before that, he worked at NIB Capital and ABN AMRO Asset Management.
