Azimut Wealth Management, the group division holding almost €9bn in assets, has hired high-profile private banker Alessandro Cevenini.
Cevenini has been appointed as director, responsible for supporting the growth of the division in Tuscany. He will join the team lead by managing director Iacopo Corradi.
Prior to join Azimut Welath Management, Cevenini worked at Banca Esperia for six years, managing clients’ assets of over €150m.
Cevenini holds a Business degree from Pisa University, as well as a degree in Business Economics from the University of Reading in the UK.
In July, Sergio Albarelli was appointed as CEO of the Italian asset manager Azimut Holding.
Albarelli, a veteran of the asset management industry in Italy, matured more than 25 years experience in the sector. After having contributed to the development of Deutsche Asset Management in Italy, in 2000 he joined Franklin Templeton, as head of the Italian office.
He then increased his responsibility to other regions, namely Spain (2005), France (2008) and Benelux (2010). From the initial $350m of assets under management, he brought his regions to reach a peak of $60bn.
