A list of the 35 most sought after US large-LBO managers in the secondaries market has been published by advisory firm Setter Capital.
The companies are listed depending on how they rank in the so called Setter Liquidity Rating. This rates fund families depending on factors such as how sought-after and saleable they are on the secondary market.
The report for the second quarter of 2015 suggests that the average number of funds in the list of 35 managers is eight, with their funds averaging an IRR of about 19%.
Blackstone Capital Partners, Apollo Investment Fund and Bain Capital fill the top three slots of the latest Setter ranking.
Some 23 out of the 35 achieve a Setter Liquidity Rating of “excellent”, with the remainder termed “very good”.
