Kames Capital announced the appointment of Phil Haworth as deputy head of equities.
In his new role, Haworth will support head of equities Stephen Adams, in running Kames’ 30-strong equities team whose capabilities include multi-cap, smaller companies, absolute return, ethical and unconstrained investing. Haworth will continue to co-manage the £241m Kames UK equity fund and £3.1bn Aegon UK equity pension fund as well as contributing to Kames’ asset allocation research. He will also continue in his research duties for the oil & gas and food producers sectors.
Haworth joined Kames in 1995 directly from Oxford University where he studied politics, philosophy and economics.
