DJE Investment S.A., a subsidiary of German investment firm DJE Kapital has launched a new market neutral European equity fund aimed at offering positive returns in falling market environments.
It will be managed by Florian Bohnet, head of Research & Portfoliomanagements, Kilian Stemberger, who also covers Research & Portfoliomanagement, and Christian Dobler, who is part of the fund management- and trading team at DJE Kapital.
The fund will invest in a concentrated portfolio of up to 50 European quality stocks, using index- and currency derivatives to hedge market volatility risks. Managers will work closely with DJE Kapital’s 15 person strong research team, which will assist in the process of selecting the stocks.
DJE offers the fund initially exclusively to institutional investors at a minimum investment of €3m, but is planning to launch a retail tranche and aims to also offer the fund for distribution in Austria.
The group points out that as the fund has a minimum equity ratio of 51%, investors will benefit from a tax relief on 30% of its returns, in line with the new German investment tax law (Investmentsteuergesetz).
