Italy’s independent asset manager AcomeA is the first in the country to list its mutual fund range on Borsa Italiana, the Italian stock exchange.
Starting from 16 April 2015, AcomeA’s funds will be listed and traded on ETF Plus of Borsa Italiana.
The asset manager decided to assign the new ‘Q2’ category to the fund range, which is exclusively aimed at trading activities on Borsa Italiana. All of AcomeA’s 14 funds will be included in the category.
Equita SIM has been appointed as the operator which will cover the differential between sales and purchases on the market.
Alberto Foà, president of AcomeA, said the launch of a mutual fund range on the stock exchange marks the opening of a new era and will help shed light on fees and make investors more aware of their choice.
Pietro Poletto, head of Fixed Income Markets, Borsa Italiana-London Stock Exchange Group said the listing mirrors the increasing interest among investors in open-ended Ucits funds.
