Neptune Investment Management (Neptune) has announced the appointment of three analysts to its investment team.
The appointments follow the restructuring of Neptune’s investment process with the addition of global sector model portfolios.
Rupert Galway-Cooper, Ruth Chambers and Sam Kelly have been hired to undertake research on the consumer, oil and gas and industrials sectors respectively.
Commenting on the appointments, Robin Geffen, founder and CEO said, “Over the past year we have made a number of moves to enhance our long-standing investment process, whilst staying true to our underlying philosophy. One aspect of this was a new role for senior members of the sector teams to run proprietary global sector model portfolios. These portfolios serve as a key resource for our fund managers to draw upon when making their stock selections.”
Prior to joining Neptune, Rupert Galway-Cooper worked at Sanford C Bernstein where he undertook global research on the energy and consumer sectors. He will now undertake research on the consumer sectors at Neptune.
Ruth Chambers worked as a Wireline Engineer at Schlumberger Oilfield Services, before joining the Bank of Montreal in 2012 as an Oil and Gas Equity Research Associate. She will undertake global research on the oil and gas sector at Neptune.
Sam Kelly taught Mathematics on the Teach First Leadership Development programme, before joining Bremner Capital Management in 2014 as an equity analyst for a long/short global hedge fund. He will undertake global research on the industrials sector at Neptune.
