Belinda Burgess is taking over from Madeleine Senior as Northern Trust’s head of the Nordic region.
Burgess, who has two decades of industry experience, joined Northern Trust in 2005 and was most recently a senior executive within Northern Trust’s Global Fund Services business, where she was responsible for client service for global asset managers, insurance funds and in-house managed pension schemes.
In her new role, she is responsible for managing the growth and development of Northern Trust’s business activities across Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.
Burgess will report to Penelope Biggs, head of the Institutional Investor Group for EMEA, and will work closely with John Krieg, managing director of Northern Trust’s asset management business in EMEA.
Madeleine Senior was appointed to her role in 2009, when Northern Trust opened a Stockholm office. She has been appointed as head of sales for Northern Trust’s asset servicing business in EMEA, where she will report to Wilson Leech, CEO for Northern Trust in EMEA.
Northern Trust’s Institutional Investor Group provides custody and related services to more than 900 pension fund clients across the globe, including 22 percent of the top 50 Nordic pension funds.
