Former vice president of IMF Benedicte Vibe Christensen joined Kirstein’s board as of the 18 May 2017.
Since 1980, Benedicte has lived in Washington D.C. and works as one of the leading international experts on macro-economic issues in low-income countries. Between 1980-2009 she worked at The International Monetary Fund (IMF), most recently as Vice President at the headquarters in D.C.
Throughout her employment at IMF, she has participated in many of IMF’s general management tasks, for instance as a member of the investment committee of IMF’s pension funds and IMF’s external financial committee, as well as advisor for IMF’s top management. Benedicte has also been employed at the Central Bank of Denmark and taught at the University of Copenhagen. She finished her degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 1975.
Benedicte’s knowledge and experience will help strengthen Kirstein’s international profile and complement our current Board, which consists of former Governor of the Danish National Bank Bodil Nyboe Andersen, Lawyer Carsten Pals, and Kirstein CEO Jesper Kirstein.
