The board of German Landesbank Nord/LB has appointed Thomas Bürkle as CEO and Hinrich Holm as deputy CEO of the bank.
The team is set to replace Gunter Dunkel, who will retire by the end of the year.
Bürkle has been chief risk officer at Nord/LB for more than two years, having been responsible for credit risk management, finance and risk controlling as well as macroeconomic research.
Prior to that, he worked among others for Nord/LB subsidiary Nord/LB Lietuva in Vilnius, before being appointed to general manager of Nord/LB New York and board member of Kopenhagen based Bank DnB NORD.
Holm has been a member of the board since 2010, having most recently been based in Magdeburg in charge of capital markets.
He is responsible for treasury, markets, bank asset allocation, corporate finance, corporate sales, credit asset management and cooperation with German Sparkassen. Holm has been with the group since 1996.
