The Association of Professional Fund Investors (Apfi), the representative body for fund selectors, is to host its Breakfast Summit in London on the morning of 12 January focused on issues including the active/passive debate, rising regulation and fiduciary requirements for due diligence, and technology disruption.
This is an event that targets professional fund buyers based in the UK, with input from other professional fund buyers.
Keynote speaker at the event will be Daniel Godfrey, co-founder of the People’s Trust and former chief executive of the UK Investment Association. He will deliver his views under the heading ‘Fiduciary and Fund Selection’.
The Summit also offers the opportunity for professional fund buyers to take part in a panel discussion on ‘Disrupters and Opportunities’. Moderator Roland meerdter, co-founder of DOOR, the platform for standardising RFP and due dilligence activities, will lead discussion on factors such as the active/passive debate, the growing regulatory and fiduciary demands being placed on the industry, and the response of fund selectors to technology disruption.
The event runs from 8am – 10am local time on 12 January at the South Place hotel in the City.
