Wells Fargo Asset Management has launched a sub-fund to the Wells Fargo (Lux) Worldwide fund – the USD Investment Grade Credit fund – which is a Ucits vehicle available to institutional and retail investors.
Managed by Scott Smith and Jonathan Terry (pictured, below), the fund invests in dollar denominated credit debt securities, rated investment grade at the time of purchase. The management team has some two decades of experience investing in credit, while the fund will rely on bottom-up credit research focused on those exhibiting strong underwriting characteristics.
Ludger Peters, managing director, international business development at Wells Fargo AM, said the fund would provide “differentiated market exposure” to investors seeking access to the dollar denominated asset class. The fund is available in Luxembourg, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore and UK. Additional registration will complete in Hong Kong and South Korea in coming months.
