Oppenheimer Europe, a subsidiary of New York’s Oppenheimer Holdings, has set up a new office in Frankfurt am Main with the appointment of Jens Munk as managing director in the Global Technology Investment Banking team and head of the DACH region.
Munk will be based in Frankfurt and London and will report to Max Lami, chief executive officer and head of Investment Banking for EMEA.
Munk, who has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance advisory, private equity and technology, joins from London and Silicon Valley-based private equity firm Kennet Partners. Before joining Kennet, he was a technology investment banker with Corporate Finance Partners and Torch Partners, where he advised on M&A (sell side and buy side), restructurings, divestitures, and debt and equity financing mandates. He has built a strong reputation for successful outcomes having represented and transacted with major global players like Google, Fiserv, State Street Bank, and Insight Ventures.
