The partnership between Tages Capital LLP and Dalton Investments LLC to launch the Tages Dalton Global Emerging Markets Ucits fund has seen some $50m committed to the strategy by institutional investors since it launched in mid-May.
The latest funds means Tages Capital offers five alternative Ucits strategies. Dalton Investment’s expertise is in long/short emerging markets, as part of its overall focus on value investments in Asia, EM, equities and fixed income. Dalton manages some $3.8bn in actively managed long/short and long only strategies for pensions, endowments, foundations, financial institutions and family offices.
Jamie Kermisch, CEO of Tages Capital, said the partnership to launch the new strategy came after being invested with Dalton previously, and being “impressed by the team’s investment process and ability to generate attractive, uncorrelated, risk adjusted returns.”
Tages Capital has some $2.3bn AUM, including in its Tages PSAM Credit, Anavon Global Equity Long/Short Ucits, Tages Cygnus Europa Event driven Ucits and Tages Rotella Ucits funds.
