BNP Paribas Asset Management’s fund selection arm FundQuest Advisor has appointed Stéphane Rouillon (pictured) as its new chief executive officer in December 2017, the firm confirmed.
This coincides with the departure of Stéphane Pouchoulin who held the role from October 2012 to December 2017 and who left “to focus on new opportunities”, BNP Paribas group explained.
Rouillon, who started his career within BNP Paribas group as a fixed income trader in 1988, was previously chief investment officer of BNPP AM’s joint venture in Chile, Banco Estado Fondos Mutuos, a position to which he was appointed in 2011.
Other positions within BNPP group include head of French Government Bonds at BNP Paribas and head of fixed income at GPM, BNPP AM’s discretionary portfolio management business.
He was also in charge of operational risk group policy missions within BNPP’s corporate and investment banking department, from 2002 to 2005.
“Relying on a comprehensive fund selection process is key, particularly in the context of increasing regulation which requires evermore transparency,” says Rouillon on FundQuest Advisor’s website.
FundQuest Advisor runs a buy-list of 300 funds selected across more than 30 asset classes. It has also branches in London and Singapore.
