Paris-based asset manager Ecofi Investissements has joined the Shareholders for Change network, which was launched by European institutional investors last December and focuses on climate change, workers rights and fiscal responsibility.
Bank für Kirche und Caritas eG, Etica Sgr, Gruppo Banca Etica, Fair-finance Vorsorgekasse, Fondazione Finanza Etica, Fundacion Fiare, Meeschaert Asset Management are the other current member institutions of the network, totalling €22bn of assets under management.
The Shareholders for Change network aims to gain more weight in companies’ general meetings, co-sign letters and hold discussions with firms upon the three topics listed previously.
Calling Shareholders for Change a strong initiative, François Lett, head of Ethical and Socially Responsible Investments at Ecofi Investissements, commented: “We are convinced that SRI must have an impact. Developing a dialogue policy towards firms with the aim of influencing them for more progress is part of our engagements to achieve this.”
