BNPP AM bond team joins Neuberger Berman

Six-people European bond team of French fund management BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has joined US asset manager Neuberger Berman.
The team will be based in Paris and consists of five portfolio managers and one quantitative analyst. Neuberger Berman will add another European investment hub in addition to the previous branches in London, Milan and The Hague.
Patrick Barbe, who brings 30 years of investment experience will lead the team. At BNP Paribas AM, he was chief investment officer of Euro Sovereign & Aggregate Fixed Income and was responsible for managing approximately €49bn.
Portfolio managers Yanick Loirat, Vito Cavaliere, Antonio Serpico and Sergejs Prala and quant analyst Leang You Tran join Barbe team. Four of the portfolio managers have been working closely together for more than seven years.
Barbe and his team for European bonds belong to Neuberger Berman as a platform for global bonds with 133 billion US dollar assets under management (as of July 2018) and more than 160 investment experts, 42 of which are located in Europe.
The commitment of the six professionals is for a good reason: in the coming months, Neuberger Berman will launch various funds and strategies in the field of European bonds.
