Swiss asset manager Unigestion has appointed Emanuele Ravano (pictured) as chairman of Uni-Global, the firm’s Luxembourg-domiciled Sicav that comprises 13 Unigestion sub-funds.
Ravano will work alongside Unigestion’s senior management team and will be supporting Unigestion’s distribution initiatives.
His appointment aims to support Unigestion’s accelerated distribution plans in intermediary markets.
Ravano has over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, having spent 13 years as managing director and head of Global Wealth & Portfolio Management at Pimco and 16 years as managing director and head of European Fixed Income at Credit Suisse.
Commenting the appointment, Bernard Sabrier, group chairman of Unigestion said : “Emanuele’s vast sector knowledge and dedication to delivering measurable results will help us build on our existing strong client relationships and form new ones in the future. The Uni-Global Sicav includes 13 compartments : Equities Europe, Equities Japan, Equities US, Equities World, Equities Emerging Markets, Absolute Return, Equities Europe Ex-UK, Cross Asset Navigator, Cross Asset Trend Follower, Total Return Bonds, Equities World Small Cap, Equities Active Factor Allocation, Absolute Return SRI.
Unigestion managed $20bn (€18.8bn) in assets as of end of September 2016.
