East Capital has appointed Francois Perrin as a portfolio manager, responsible for Greater China markets.
Perrin will be based in Hong Kong and report ti Adrian Pop, head of Asia at East Capital. He will work alongside portfolio manager Dmitriy Vlasov and a team of analysts.
He will also have a role in the integration of East Capital’s sustainable investment approach across all of the manager’s public equity strategies.
Perrin tallies over 15 years of experience and has been involved in SRI for a long time. He joins East Capital from BNP Paribas Investment Partners Asia, where he was most recently head of Greater China Equities and formerly head of Asian SRI Equities.
Prior to that, he worked at Fortis Investments in Frankfurt, focusing on European SRI, global and emerging thematic fund management, and Lombard Odier in Geneva, where he developed SRI research and managed global SRI funds. Perrin started his career at KPMG and Suez.
East Capital invests primarily in emerging and frontier markets. It was the first asset manager in Northern Europe to get a QFII license providing access to Chinese domestic equity markets.
