Austrian private bank Schoellerbank, a subsidiary of UnicreditBank Austria, has expanded its board with the promotion of Helmut Siegler.
Siegler joins Schoellerbank to cover estate succession and financial planning for foundations, he will execute this role alongside his current position of first vice president at Unicredit Austria. He replaces Heinz Mayer, who has left the firm at his own request. Siegler has been with Schoellerbank since 1993, most recently as head of Investment Strategy, Products und Advisory.
Siegler joins Schoellerbank’s current board, which includes Franz Witt-Dörring, chairman of the board and Robert Wieselmayer, boardmember in charge of banking and finance.
Robert Karas, head of Schoellerbank Asset Management, now takes on Mayer’s role of CIO at UniCredit Bank Austria and Schoellerbank. Karas has been with Schoellerbank since 2007 and has led the asset management division since 2011.
