Luxembourg financial market authority CSSF has reported that as of 31 January 2018, funds registered in the country had global assets under management of €4.21trn, up 1.31% on a monthly basis.
Over the last 12 months, AUM of Luxembourg-domiciled funds have risen by 11.86%.
In detail, at the end of January, Luxembourg-domiciled Ucis (OPC) boarded net inflows of €54.41bn while the number of vehicles dropped to 4,030 from 4,044 in December 2017.
Some 2,593 entities run a Luxembourg Sicav covering a total of 13,326 compartments, to which 1,437 classic structures shall be added. 14,763 fund units were available on the Luxembourg fund market in January 2018.
Luxembourg equity Ucis, all geographies covered, have globally achieved a positive performance in January 2018 while results were mixed among fixed income segments, EUR-denominated bond funds, USD-denominated bond funds and emerging market bonds funds having faced losses.
