JP Morgan Asset Management is set to merge the JPM UK Equity Blue Chip fund, worth £268m (€302.7m) of assets as of end October 2017, into the JPM UK Equity Core fund, InvestmentEurope has learned.
The operation will take place on 16 December 2017 but remains subject to an extraordinary resolution being passed at the firm’s extraordinary general meeting.
The JPM UK Equity Blue Chip fund, which was launched in December 2017, invests primarily in UK large caps and is managed by James Illsley and Sarah Emly
Illsley is also the lead manager of the £271.1m (€306.1m) JPM UK Equity Core fund in which the JPM UK Equity Blue Chip fund will be merged. Anthony Lynch, Christopher Llewelyn and Callum Abbot are part of the management team too.
The strategy, launched in June 1997, seeks to outperform the FTSE All Share Index over the long term by investing in UK companies of all caps and sectors.
