Franklin Templeton has appointed Brendan Walsh as SVP/portfolio manager for the firm’s multi-asset solutions team to be effective on the 8th of October of 2018.
Walsh (pictured), who will be London-based and reporting to director of portfolio management Thomas Nelson, will be responsible for leading the development of the firm’s multi-asset capabilities in the UK, as well as being a key contributor to the asset allocation strategy for investment solutions managed by the multi-asset solutions team.
With over a decade of experience in multi-asset investing, Walsh joins Franklin Templeton from Aviva Investors where he was a multi-asset fund manager. Prior to this, he worked at Standard Life Investments as a quantitative analyst in the multi-asset investing team.

Franklin Templeton’s multi-asset solutions team features more than 50 multi-asset investment professionals, specialising in strategic asset allocation and tactical positioning, fundamental and quantitative research, active integration and risk management. The platform had more than $120bn in assets under management as of March 31 2018.
