Swiss bank Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has appointed Adrian Künzi as CEO of its Zurich branch and Head of Northern Europe for its private banking business.
As CEO, Künzi will be in charge of overseeing the expansion of the branch’s business, with the goal of further growing the Bank’s footprint in German-speaking Switzerland. As head of Private Banking Northern Europe, he will be responsible for defining UBP’s strategy and driving it’s development in the region.
Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has announced the appointment of Adrian Künzi as CEO of its Zurich branch and head of the Northern Europe Region within the Private Banking division, as of 1 March 2018.
Künzi joins UBP from Notenstein La Roche Private Bank SA, where he has been CEO since 2012. Before that, he spent more than ten years with Wegelin & Co. Private Bankers, occupying a variety of roles, including head of Western Switzerland.
The Zurich branch is UBP’s second-largest office, its assets under management have doubled in the past five years to CHF 27bn (€23.42bn), partly as a result of the acquisition of Coutts International in 2015.
