Old Mutual Global Investors has announced the departure of its head of Fixed Income Absolute Return Russ Oxley as a consequence of a difference in opinion regarding future strategic direction.
Following the move, Adam Purzitsky and Paul Shanta have been appointed co-heads of the Absolute Return Government Bond team, reporting to Paul Simpson, investment director.
Both joined OMGI at the start of last year along with the other members of the absolute return government bond team.
Also two appointments have been made within the team with the arrival of Mark Greenwood and Peter Meiklejohn as investment specialists.
Both were formerly working as consultants alongside the absolute return government team.
Purzitsky and Shanta will continue to co-manage the Old Mutual Absolute Return Government Bond strategy launched in October 2015.
Old Mutual Global Investors had assets under management of £26bn (€32.8bn) as at 31 March 2016.
