HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has bolstered its investment team with the appointment of Sebastien Faucher as head of passive fixed income.
Faucher, who will be based in London, will report to global CIO Fixed Income Xavier Baraton and locally to CIO UK Philip Glaze.
The new hire joins HSBC GAM from Legal & General Investment Management where he was head of Index Fixed Income, being responsible for fund management activities across all index fund strategies. Prior to that, Faucher worked as investment manager at SSgA Global Fixed Income and previously he held roles National Bank of Canada, both in Montreal and London.
HSBC GAM has unveiled its plans to launch a number of passive fixed income products as part of a new Ucits fund range, aimed at satisfying ongoing client needs.
