Hauck & Aufhäuser has appointed Burkhard Allgeier as their new chief investment officer. He succeeds Reinhard Pfingsten, who has joined Bethmann Bank as chief investment officer and begins by April next year.
Allgeier has held the positions of chief economist and head of Strategy & Research for global investment portfolios at Frankfurter Privatbank since 2007. Previously, he was head of Pension Fund Management at Frankfurt Trust from 1999 to 2007 and Invesco Asset Management from 1995 to 1999. From 1992 to 1994, Allgeier was also a member of the staff council of the Council of Experts for the Review of Macroeconomic Development.
