Amundi has promoted Yerlan Syzdykov to the role of global head of Emerging Markets, after the firm’s former EM chief Mauro Ratto departed for the firm to explore new opportunities.
He is responsible for managing and developing the over €40bn AUM investment platform covering all expertise (debt and equity) of the emerging markets universe.
Syzdykov was deputy head of the investment platform dedicated to emerging markets since July 2017. Formerly, he was head of Emerging Markets Bond & High Yield with Pioneer Investments.
Syzdykov held a number of EM roles within asset managers in London and Paris. He started his career as an EM equity analyst with Renaissance Capital in Moscow.
Amundi has over €1.4trn in AUM as of end March 2018.
