Sarasin & Partners has announced Simon Steele will be fund manager of its equity income funds in the thematic global equity team.
Steele joines from CCLA, and two decades of experience in runnign higheer yielding equity portfolios. At CCLA he was investment director, in charge of global equity funds.
At Sarasin he will manage the Global Dividend Fund and Global Higher Dividend Fund products.
In related changes also announced by Sarasin, Neil Mitchell and Alex Bibani will be joining as fund manager and thematic equity analyst respectively. Mitchell, like Steele, joins from CCLA, where he previously worked on UK and global equity portfolios, and was a member of CCLA’s Investment Committee. Bibani previously worked at IFM Sydney.
Meanwhile, Darryl Lucas, global equity income fund manager will leave Sarasin, while Harry Talbot-Rice, head of Global Equities, will pass on responsibility for the EquiSar unit strusts for private clients and retail investors to co-manager Alex Hunter and CIO Guy Monson. The two will manage the EquiSar sterling and dollar funds, and “in due course” also take on responsibility for the UK open ended investment company (Oeic) global EquiSar funds.
