JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Mark Richards as Global Strategist in the Global Multi Asset Solutions Group.
Based in London, Richards will be responsible along with the existing members of the Global Multi Asset Solutions Strategy team for determining global economic and asset allocation strategies for both institutional and retail clients.
Richards will report to John Bilton (pictured), global head of Multi Asset Strategy, JP Morgan Asset Management.
Commenting on his appointment, Bilton said: “Mark’s depth and breadth of expertise in equities research and his macro-economic background will further enhance our capabilities. He will work closely with the team on formulating macro thematic insights that inform our asset allocation views.”
Mark was previously a Senior Vice President at Pimco with responsibility for equities macroeconomic research. Prior to joining Pimco, he was a Director at Credit Suisse where he covered asset allocation and global equity strategy. Having come from an equity strategy background, Mark will be able to link together broad macro trends with developments in equity markets and will complement the rest of the Global Strategy Team at JPMAM.
