Altamar Capital Partners has appointed Elena González and Marta Utrera as co-chief operating officers.
González and Utrera will report directly to Altamar chairman and co-CEO Claudio Aguirre and to co-CEO and co-CIO José Luis Molina, working alongside vice-chairman and managing partner Inés Andrade.
Elena González is managing director & partner of Altamar. Prior to joining the firm 13 years ago, González worked as Family Office investment manager for three years. Prior to that, she worked as an auditor at Ernst&Young Financial Audit department for two years.
Marta Utrera, also managing director & partner of Altamar, joined the company 11 years ago. She has five years of experience in auditing, specialising in financial services-banking in PricewaterhouseCoopers.
After 14 years of activity, Altamar is experiencing a remarkable growth and increasing complexity in different aspects. The firm manages over €5,8bn of historically committed capital and has a team of 140 people, of which more than 45 are investment professionals.
Altamar currently has four offices (Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile and New York) and a representative office in Asia (Taipei). The New York office has grown in recent months and already has 10 professionals, which will turn into 12 before the end of the year, which has increased the firm’s investment capacity in the North American market.
