Geneva-based boutique Wealth Solutions Partners (WSP), launched last year by former HSBC Private Bank’s fund selection chief Hervé Croset has appointed Philippe Darbellay as partner.
Darbellay spent over nine years at Pictet & Cie where he was senior fund analyst.
He managed an absolute return fund of funds investing in various fixed income strategies.
Prior to that, he was portfolio manager of high yield and convertible bonds funds at Unigestion and a credit derivatives analyst for a Geneva-based hedge fund as well as for Deutsche Bank in London.
Darbellay’s appointment is to make “a significant contribution” to the boutique, which focuses on fund selection and advisory services in open architecture model.
Wealth Solutions Partners said it is committed to extend activities outside Switzerland in the Middle-East and Asia.
